Students and Parents (in the case of a Parent PLUS Loan) that accept a federal Title IV loan will have data from that loan sent to the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS). This information includes all data from the loan, including private personally identifiable information. NSLDS is a federal database, and the data is protected through federal security standards. This information is accessible by guaranty agencies, lenders, and schools determined to be authorized users of the data system.
