Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Concordia's chemical engineering degree will help you stand out from the crowd with a specialized focus on clean energy.
Take the next steps in your career with Concordia's Chemical Engineering program. Chemical Engineering (CHE) is a discipline that involves transforming raw materials and chemicals into useful products through processes that are sustainable (economical, socially equitable and environmentally acceptable). Chemical Engineers address many societal challenges, for example: energy generation, water purification, food production, resource utilization, pharmaceutical production, etc.. Specific chemical engineering innovations include design of catalytic converters to reduce vehicle emissions and sea water desalinization. With a strong foundation in chemistry, physics and math, the CHE curriculum emphasizes mass, energy and momentum conservation, process safety and environmental stewardship for the design of chemical reaction and separation processes to prepare you for a versatile career in service to the global community.
The Concordia University Wisconsin Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering program will provide students with technical and creative problem-solving skills that meet professional expectations. Furthermore, the curriculum is grounded in a Christian context that embraces our God given dominion [Genesis 1:26] and implicit responsibility to global sustainability.
The mission of Chemical Engineering is to positively affect communities by developing Christ-centered engineers with strong analytical, design and laboratory skills, ready for industry or advanced study. The vision of all Engineering programs at Concordia is to produce Christ-centered Engineers, who will positively affect communities by integrating their faith and knowledge to create a safer, healthier, and more efficient world by applying best practices, modern techniques, and innovation to their vocations.
A bachelor’s degree from Concordia in chemical engineering can prepare you for a promising career. We prepare students to enter the workforce as chemical engineers, health and safety engineers, pharmaceutical biological engineers, and in many more professions.
