Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESL)/Bilingual for Teachers




The Bilingual Education Concentration (#1023) can be added to the ESL minor program. It will lead to both ESL and Bilingual Licensure if all requirements are met. The Bilingual License is a supplemental license. It will attach to an educator’s license(s). Students wishing to complete this track must meet all ESL requirements, or their equivalent, prior to starting the track.

Students pursing the bilingual education supplemental license must take ACTFL-OPI in their language ares: Chinese-Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, German, Arabic, Hmong, Albanian, and Urdu, and earn a score of Intermediate High.
