Dr. Connie Zucker
My name is Connie Zucker and I grew up in a very German Lutheran culture in the Saginaw area. At Concordia University, I currently teach courses in the teaching endorsement program for English as a Second Language. I have been a public school teacher of English and Spanish for more than 25 years in a suburb of Detroit. My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in English and Spanish and a Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Language Education, including an ESL endorsement. I have been teaching second-language methods courses at the university level for the past 15 years, and have been teaching various courses online for over 10 years. In my spare time I enjoy working in the yard, reading mystery novels, going to plays and operas, spending time with my family and close friends, and traveling. Being a language enthusiast, recent travels have included China, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany and Austria. I have a daughter who is a forensic psychologist, and a son who is a jazz guitar professor. We are all blessed for having found our passion.
