Education: Attorney Wooten received the Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University, the Master in Business Administration in Marketing from Loyola University of Chicago, the Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and the Master in Law in Labor and Employment law from Wayne State University.
Professional Experience, Leadership: I began my career in banking, working at financial institutions in Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH and Grand Rapids, MI. After working ten years in banking, transitioning from Trust Operations Supervisor to Assistant Vice President in Trust Administration I fulfilled my career aspirations and obtained a law degree. Since 2006 I have practiced law in the state of Michigan including Federal Court. Her practice areas include Estate and Probate, Employment Law, Contracts, Landlord Tenant, Family Law and Litigation covering various subject matters.
Attorney Wooten has approximately ten years of teaching experience at various colleges in Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Lansing MI; Kalamazoo, MI; Troy, MI and online course facilitation. She has taught Law School courses as well as developed and facilitated legal seminars to assist law students with achieving their academic goals. She has also taught multiple courses in the College of Business. Her classroom technique incorporates professional experiences with the curriculum base for the particular course.
