I am currently employed at Madison College (formerly Madison Area Technical College) as Dean for the School of Business and Applied Arts. Within the School of Business and Applied Arts we support over 70 different credentials in certificates, 1 year and 2 year degrees ranging from Accounting and Marketing to Photography, Graphic Design, and Culinary and Baking. Nearly 7,000 degree and technical diploma students attend classes within this division at Madison College.
Prior to joining Madison College I served over ten wonderful years at Concordia University Wisconsin in a variety of capacities, first as Admissions Officer at the Madison Center, then Madison Center Director, then as Regional Director for the Beloit, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Madison and New Orleans Centers (also Milwaukee Midtown and Milwaukee South for a brief stint), and finally as Mequon Director. I’m proud to say that I enjoyed every minute of it. It has been a pleasure to see so many dedicated students come through Concordia’s programs, and I admire all of our students for their ability to manage so many priorities – family, work, and school all at the same time. It has been a privilege to work with all of these students and Concordia’s excellent faculty over the years. There has been no greater satisfaction than seeing them all succeed in reaching their dreams.
On a personal note, I reside in Fitchburg with my wife Jana (who is also an educator), our two sons – Ethan and Andrew, and our Lab/Weimaraner mix Karma. I enjoy most all outdoor activities. Some of my favorites are hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and playing softball. I earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and an M.B.A. through Concordia University Wisconsin.
