Dr. Adam Paape
Dr. Adam Paape is Associate Professor of Education and Chair of the Secondary Education department at Concordia University Wisconsin. He has been on the faculty of Concordia University Wisconsin since 2010. He received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. He holds an M.S. degree in Educational Administration and a B.A. in Secondary Education – Mathematics from Concordia University Wisconsin. Dr. Paape’s first call was to serve as a mathematics and theology instructor at Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He also served at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Washington as a math instructor. Prior to his call to Concordia University Wisconsin, he served as an adjunct professor in mathematics education at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Paape’s instructional focus is in the area of mathematics education, mentoring future teachers of mathematics. His research interests focus on student-centered mathematics instruction, with an emphasis on implementing rich, conceptual mathematical tasks to engage all learners. He serves on the statewide board of directors for the Wisconsin Mathematics Council.
